These amazing pictures were taken on our weekend trip to Triglav mountain in July 2009.
Our cottage for the first night was Kredarica, placed on 2500 m above sea level, under the mighty mountain of Triglav.
It is generaly belived Triglav, the highest mountain peak of Slovenia is named after the main slavic god. Triglav (eng: Three Heads), according to the writing of Ebbo, Triglav’s heads were believed to represent sky, earth and the Underworld. Slavic priests believed that Triglav has three heads because he ruled these three kingdoms and had a golden binding over his eyes and lips so he could not see people’s sins nor speak about them.

The Kredarica mountain cottage was a perfect place to enjoy the amazing sunset and a sunrise high above, under the mountain of ancient gods.
To me, living under this mountain, it is a special mountain. Every day, from my point of view the sun sets behind it. And it really looks like a mountain of gods. But to me, the three heads of the mountain represent the ability to take a look at every situation from different angles and point of views before making a decision. I love this mountain and it is the only natural thing I deeply miss when I am not at home.
